It is very useful to start with groups of new children or to start in a new school or stage. Before asking, we tell them some details of our personal information using a power point presentation. A good way to improve the activity is to play a guessing game. We all read the sentences and they try to guess what is true and what it isn't about the teacher. If they are right, they get a point. If they are wrong, the point is for the teacher. as soon as they know more about the teacher, they start giving some information about themselves and you all get to know each other better and have some fun.
