Topic1: Summary

POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS:

Both the story and the activities presentations were amazing for our children. The pack of
activities was a nice way to reinforce the story telling and the way to display and propose the
activitie,s within a power point presentation, was specially motivating for them.

The only drawback we found was that we needed more time to enjoy the activity.

LIM ACTIVITY:

Some of us put this activity into practice with half groups of children (12-13 pupils) and the results were good, as usually. The strong points of this type of tasks are:

- Motivation: they are highly motivating for them since they are made by us for them.
- Beyond school: as this is an online task, the can play at home and they do.

DOMINO:

Playing suggestions:

- Big group: the aim is to biuld a human chain or a human domino. Each child has a piece and, by reading aloud their text, they have to look for their pairs (left and right). Once they find their partners, they join their arms till they make a human chain.

- Pair group: they play the usual domino game.

Advantages: dealing with reading comprehension, speaking and listening skills. Peer and self correction by speaking English. practicings game structures such as "My turn", "You're cheating", "I win", "I lost", "It's right/wrong".
The domino remains in the classroom and they can play as soon as they finish their classroom tasks.

Drawbacks: Classroom behaviour control. Language control. Lack of material  (they don't bring it or they loose it) and, of course, children learning difficulties and rhythms.
