TRANSPORTS VIDEOS AND FUN ACTIVITIES III

I'M GOING ON A TRIP BY....

Have the students sit in a circle. You start by saynig I'm going on a trip by train. The first student must say I'm going on a train by ...... and by train. Each child adds a means of transportation.

Don't forget to pre-teach the vocabulary and keep the pictures near them just in case they need to have a look.

AREA SETUP (for younger learners)

Place the chairs in two rows simulating a bus. One child can be the bus driver and the rest get on the bus, show the ticket and sit. They can carry their schoolbags or luchboxes with them to make it more realistic.

If they enjoy it, you can try simulating a plane! With older learners, you can set up a role play activity with dialogues.

COOKING TRANSPORTS

If you like cooking and you usually do cooking workshops in your classroom, try and make a boat from a sandwich and a piece of apple. Cut the sandwich into four triangles and an apple into small slices (about 1 cm). Place a quarter of the sandwich on top each apple slice.

They will love this healthy snack and learn some words in English during the process.
